Bob March 05, 2017 for Model Number cwef316chs2 cwef316chs2 white westinghouse stove how do I take the stove door off to dismantle the stove door ?
1 Answer Bob, " To Remove and Replace the Oven Door 1. Open the door fully. 2. Pull up the lock located on both hinge supports and engage them in the hook of the hinge levers. You may have to apply a little downward pressure on the door to pull the locks fully over the hooks. 3. Grab the door by the sides, pull the bottom of the door up and toward you to disengage the hinge supports. Keep pulling the bottom of the door toward you while rotating the top of the door toward the range to completely disengage the hinge levers. 4. Proceed in reverse to reinstall the door. Make sure the hinge supports are fully engaged before unlocking the hinge levers." Read More...

Shelly November 23, 2013 for Model Number 790.46832 I have now ordered two hinges for my oven door but the screws from the door will not go into the holes on the hinges. Is there some fix to this problem?
1 Answer Hello Shelly, Most of these holes are not tapped with threads so the screws will be hard to thread in. The screws are probably self-tapping and it will take a certain degree of force to get the threads cut into the new hinges. Read More...
Steve S. May 08, 2011 for Model Number 790.47873407 The door on our Kenmore oven does not stay closed, need instructions on replacing the door hing, maybe a diagram?
1 Answer Hello Steve. You will need to remove the door from the oven. Then remove the screws holding the door together and disassemble the door. You will need to remove the screws holding the hinge to the door liner. Reinstall with the new hinge in reverse order. We do not have a diagram for this repair. Hope this helps. Read More...
