Ninjaroo September 30, 2020 I purchased this assemby in July for my Fridgedair stove. The burner is slow to light and often requires a build up of gas to light (Dangerous). I am not sure what to do to fix that , should i replace the igniter ? The original bolts snapped off and I used normal screws so could this be a positioning issue?
1 Answer Ninjaroo, You can try cleaning the burner base. Use a toothpick or small object and make sure the hole where the gas comes out by the igniter is clear. Also make sure when it sparks that it does arch at the end of the igniter towards the burner base. Arching early could mean you have a cracked igniter. Read More...

Ray B June 08, 2014 for Model Number 790.71362707 My gas range left two burners are working correctly. The right two burners will not spark and light when you turn the knob on to spark and then to the temperature setting. How does the right two knobs initiate the spark.
1 Answer Ray, There is a ignition switch on the burner valves that you will want to check for continuity in the light position. If there is continuity then they are good and the most likely cause for the 2 burners to not work would be the spark module or wiring. Read More...

Jam Maker December 20, 2011 for Model Number FGFL79DBE - Frigidaire Free standing gas range In reference to the last answer: all the components are clean & dry. I am wondering if I need a new igniter &/or burner assembly. The top edges of the assembly look worn & are of varying heights. I cleaned the slots in the assemble (they're not really holes) but didn't make a difference. This burner has not worked correctly since day one. Thanks.

Jam Maker December 19, 2011 for Model Number FGFL79DBE - Frigidaire Free standing gas range The large, right front burner will not ignite with the autolight; you have to use an external source like a match or lighter. Once the burner is lit, the flame burns very unevenly with some real hot spots that have discolored the burner cap in places. The flame color varies from ornage to blue. How can I remedy the situation? Thanks for your help.
