Damon November 04, 2017 for Model Number PLGS389ECE My front right burner (largest one) has a low level leak of natural gas when the control knob is in the off position. Is the burner sealed or would greasing help, possible orifice blocked? If I need to replace would it be from the diagram - 11B?
1 Answer Damon, With there being a leak in the off position then this would be an issue with the gas valve 318233940. Read More...
Marty October 29, 2017 for Model Number 79036709505 My oven takes about 30-40 minutes to preheat. It was previously switched over to propane, and now I am trying to run it on natural gas again. I do not have any of the original natural gas parts. Is this a likely cause for the slow heating? What parts do I need to convert the range back to natural gas?
1 Answer Hello Marty, The unit will have to be converted back to natural gas for normal operation to occur. To do this you will need to flip the large nut on the regulator and adjust the orifice hoods for bake and broil by using a 1/2 inch open end wrench to turn them 1 1/2 to 2 turns counterclockwise. You will also need to order and exchange the surface orfices 316237900 LR, 316237903 RR, 316237902 LF, and 316430500 RF. AS a note, the last orifice is only available with the orifice holder assembly. The complete assembly does not need to be exchanged but the orifice can be removed from the holder and installed in place of the LP orifice that is in place now. Read More...
Mike July 22, 2014 for Model Number GLGF386DCE Hello I asked a earlier question about a safety valve replacement for my range. I also need to replace the ignitor/glow bar, what is the correct part number? Also not sure if it matters but the fuel is propane not natural gas.
Rick June 03, 2014 for Model Number GLGF388DAS Thank you for your quick response to my natural gas orifices I have all the part #'s you gave me for top burners, is there an orifice for the oven burner??
1 Answer Rick, I believe your model should read GLGF388DSA. The oven is adjustable. To convert the bake and broil you would need to loosen the orifices 1 1/2 to 2 turns and flip the regulator from LP to Natural. Thanks. Read More...
Steve R. January 07, 2014 for Model Number PLGFZ390ECB My Right front burner (the largest) has a very low flame, even at max settings, and has a very hard time lighting. Electrode seems to be working ok, and visually everything looks fine on top (burner assembly). All other burners are working fine. Could this be the valve, or the pipe going to the burner, or?
1 Answer Steve, Check and make sure the orifice 316237901 hasn't gotten any debris or corrosion from a spill over or debris in the line. If the opening in the orifice is clean and OK, replace the burner valve 5303935235. Read More...
