The Lid Lock Switch is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. This switch is responsible for ensuring the lid is securely locked during the wash and spin cycles, preventing the lid from being opened and ensuring safe operation of the machine.

Brian, with everything connected, if the timer measures 120VAC when tested from the black/red wire at terminal 15 to the red/white wire at terminal 24 and the unit will not lock the lid, the failure would be in the lock assembly. If there is not 120VAC, the failure would most likely be the timer 134883600.

Brian, it would be recommended that the dark gray switch of the lid lock switch 134936800 is tested for continuity when activated. If there is not continuity, the switch has failed and the assembly would need to be replaced.

Tony, if you remove the front panel you can get to the screws for the top and the lid switch is mounted to the top.

Kisha, In order to get the door unlatched if it is locked and will not open is to use a flat blade screwdriver between the main top and the front panel. There will be 2 clips that you use to release the top. Once main top is lifted you can release the Latch and replace the door switch.
