Amy September 14, 2015 for Model Number FGUS2632LE2 One of the bulbs from the refrigerator broke, do I need to unplug the refrigerator in order to take out the broken bulb? I tried to get it out but I couldn't do it. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Amy, You should unplug the refrigerator and grasp the metal part of the light bulb with a pair of needle nosed pliers. Be sure your eyes are protected when you twist the pliers counterclockwise to remove the bulb from the socket since glass chips can fly and cause an eye injury hazard. Read More...

Tom B. February 08, 2015 for Model Number LGHN2844MF5 I tried replacing the bottom left light in my refrigerator. While doing so a spark occurred, but didn't think much of it, wasn't huge. I closed the refrigerator for awhile and noticed that refrigerator was getting warmer. Later found out (after putting phone in refrigerator with video recording on) that the lights were never turning off after I replaced the bulb. The funny thing is the lights all work, but now don't turn off. I did not use the part listed by the manufacturer, but did use an appliance grade 25W one. I was wondering if the unit will not work correctly if the bulbs are not exactly as mentioned or if something may have happened when installing?
1 Answer Hello Tom, The lights used in conjunction with this lighting control should only be the recommended ones but this may not have been the only contributing factor. Foremost, this type lighting control should never be serviced with power on them. When installing a light, the door switch should be held in until the bulb is tight or unplug the unit for the job. You will have to change the board 242048320 to correct this issue. Read More...
