Lee February 23, 2013 for Model Number 13-3028-23 In 1992 my parents installed an Tappan Electric counter top range. Over the years as the drip pans wore out, they would buy a 6" drip pan and it would fit. Recently they purchased a chrome 6" drip pan and the plug in surface unit will not lay flat on the stove top. The brackets which hold the heating elements are too long to fit down into the first recessed area of the drip pan. The surface units are the plug in type.

Sylvia September 27, 2011 for Model Number Frigidaire Compact 30 - at least 20 yrs old The existing drip pans have a cut out to slip over the electric coil and then a circular ring that hold the coil and pan in place. The picture I'm looking at seems to be only one piece and I think I won't be able to insert the coil which is attached to the stove. I don't know where to look for a model number - I don't see one in plain sight.
1 Answer Hello Sylvia. With the new drip pans 316048414, you will remove the elements. Then install the drip pan. Then insert the element back into the terminal block. Hope this helps. Read More...
