Ben May 19, 2019 for Model Number Electrolux AFT8000FS1 I have a sagging door issue. I have removed the silver Outer Door Panel (#AP5178223) and can see the jacket to receive the lower screw near the hinge is broken as well as the tabs to hold the hinge bushings. I suspect I need to replace the part, but I am wondering if the white part (#AP3885626), which is much less expensive, would work fine. Would it? I also note that there are other issues with sagging doors for this model and there is a repair kit (#AP4514345). Should I also plan on buying that? Thanks
1 Answer Ben, it is possible that the white outer panel may work for your model. It does look to have the same screw ports in the same spots, but as it is not listed in connection to your model it can not be guaranteed. It would be recommended to use the repair kit in regards to the sagging door issue. Read More...
Pat January 21, 2016 for Model Number Fridgiaire Affitiny ATF8000FS1 serial # XC739 Does this part have the tabs to locate the plastic bushings for the hinge or does this have a different sort of a set up to locate the hinge? The tabs on my current part are broken off so I should add the door sag repair kit (part # 137309800 / AP4514345). My understanding is that this washing machine with the serial number XC925 and later do not require the door sag kit. If this part is for the later serial numbers, do I also need different hinge bushings?
1 Answer Pat, Based on your serial number prefix, your unit would fall under the door sag issue. The part number that you will need is 137309800. Read More...
