This vane screw secures the internal drum baffle (vane) to the drum, keeping loads turning properly and preventing rattles or snags. Replace a missing or stripped screw to restore a tight, stable baffle during cycles.

  • Fastens the drum baffle/lifter (vane) to the rotating drum
  • Helps maintain proper tumble and load turnover
  • Common symptoms: loose or wobbly baffle, rattling or clunking noises, items catching on a raised baffle edge, or a baffle that detaches
  • Visual cues: missing screw or stripped/damaged threads at the baffle mounting holes
What's included: One screw
  • Disconnect power before servicing; shut off gas
  • Access the baffle from inside the drum; align holes and start the screw by hand to avoid cross-threading
  • Tighten firmly but do not overtighten to prevent stripping the drum or cracking the baffle
  • Start all screws before final tightening to seat the baffle evenly

Roxann, With the screw not going into the panel and staying, this would be a issue with a stripped panel and the front panel of the unit would need to be replaced if it is the screw on the panel that is not staying. If it is the one on the door then you would need the door frame.

Dan, They do not show a specific screw for grounding the motor. The screw part number 131302800 would be for the vane inside the tub. You could use screw 5303015671 as a grounding screw.

Hi Thomas. Comparing the breakdown, you should have a 1/4 " screw holding the Flood switch bracket to the bottom of the tub. Then (using your old one as comparison) you clip the wires of the old switch onto the new one. Then place the new switch in the bracket. The stem of the float will then pass through the hole in the top of the tub, through the bracket stem hole and carefully rest on top of the switch assembly. The bracket is part # WD12X10023. The switch is part # WD21X479. Thank you.
