Alford, To remove the light switch there are 2 push clips on the side of the switch that you have to depress in order to get it out of the opening.

Hello David, Indents are put on the spade connectors to prevent them from falling off during transportation and normal usage. You may have to pry them off with a small screwdriver or needle-nosed pliers.

Hello Joe. Disconnect the power. If you can access the back of the switch, you will release the tabs and remove the old switch. Then unplug the wires and install the new switch 297243800 in reverse order.
