Replacement switch burner igniter that produces the spark needed to light a gas burner, restoring reliable ignition so burners light quickly and consistently for safer cooking. What it does:

  • Generates the ignition spark to light a gas cooktop or range burner.
  • Restores normal ignition when a burner won't spark or lights inconsistently.
  • Stops intermittent clicking or repeated attempts to light caused by a failed igniter.
  • Works as the electrical spark source paired with the burner valve and cap.
What's included: One switch burner igniter. Install notes:
  • Disconnect electrical power and shut off the gas supply before servicing.
  • Access typically requires removing the cooktop or control panel—handle panels and wiring gently.
  • Reconnect wires to matching terminals; do not force connectors or bend contacts.

For Frigidaire Switch Burner Igniter (Spark Switch) (Part Number: OEM6373479)

Dan W for Model Number GE gas oven/range, model JGBP24GEJ3AD

GE gas oven/range, model JGBP24GEJ3AD Range burner ignitor switch(es) for right side burners are bad. Original switch is marked 695T225PO1; 46-4018 Each appears to have integral wiring, what we call 'pigtail' wires in the industrial world, with heat shrink tubing over the connections to the switch (too bad I can't include a photo . . ) If there are terminals underneath the black heat shrink tubing, they are much smaller than standard 1/4" push-on connectors. Your replacement switch is a 316035200, which has no wiring attached. How does the field wiring attach to 316035200? Solder? mini screw terminals? spring-loaded connections?

1 Answer

Dan, Yes, there are small female spade connectors inside the black heat shrink tubing on the end of the igniter switch wires. They are a 1/16 in brass, high intensity 120 VAC connector, and you have to be very careful when you remove them from the switch terminal. especially on older ranges. The igniter switch does have matching 1/16 in. terminals and the wires just plug and unplug like any other spade terminal, just be careful.
