I need to replace the door handles for the model # stated. I've found the part that I need on your website. The part # is AP4508385. I would like to know if the part is plastic or metal? It appears to be metal but I would like to now for sure before ordering.

Darrell, The 5303918823 / 241977902 Handle Set, is the correct part to order for the model number you supplied. No the handles are not metal, they are a co- polymer, reinforced "plastic" compound and pretty substantial.

Why can't I just purchase just the fridge handle I don't need the freezer handle

Barb, Unfortunately the manufacturer does not sell the refrigerator handle by itself and you would need to get the handle set in order to get the refrigerator handle.

I only need the bottom handle. Do you sell them single? Also in the 4 yrs of having this frig this will be the 7th time of replacing this handle. It seems the top part need to be ground down. Maybe better tooling.

Cynthia, the manufacturer only offers the handle in a kit with both handles as part number 5303918823. Sorry about that!
