For Ge Asm-Cover Dispenser (Part Number: OEM13455447)

Nick for Model Number PFSS6PKXDSS

My water/ice dispenser panel is acting up. It randomly displays turbo cool and the temperature lights come on and off displaying varied temperatures, calling for turbo cool while the refrigerator temp gauge shows the refrigerator is holding steady. The temperature inside the refrigerator does not match the display and the compressor runs and seemingly the refrigerator gets satisfied. I have already reset the water/ice display by pressing energy saver and adjust light simultaneously. It seems the display is acting up. I am wondering what could be the problem. The main board? I have already replaced all temperature sensors in the refrigerator section. please let me know what you think thank you

Nick, based on the information provided, the failure would most likely be the user interface dispenser control WR13X10841 as it is acting erratically. If the display was flickering as if there was intermittent voltage reaching it, a voltage test would identify if the failure would be in the main control, wire, or user control but this does not appear to be the case. Unfortunately, the dispenser control has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

Cory, The dispenser cover assembly for your unit has been discontinued and the manufacturer does not show a suitable replacement available. The part you are inquiring about looks like the part for your unit but we cannot guarantee that it will work for the model as there may be some differences internally that we do not know of.

Hello Michael. Remove the screw under the dispenser and then grasp it and pull forward to remove it. It will not come out easy. Thanks.

Ryan for Model Number PFSS6PKXCSS

I have a GE French Door frig model PFSS6PKXCSS. The issue I am experiencing is the LED dispenser light will go on and off on its own. Now today the frig stopped cooling and the door key pad was locked up. I cycled power and was able to view the current temp but then it cleared and would not allow me to change any selection on the door. Does the door dispenser control board have any effect on the ability for the main control board to operate the cooling ability or is this a possible separate issue? You thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Jerre, To remove the dispenser cover, there is a screw underneath you will need to remove and then grab at the opening where the ice would come out and pull to the right and straight out.
