The Lower Spray Arm Base is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. Located inside the dishwasher tub, this part attaches securely to hold and rotate the lower spray arm during wash cycles. The spray arm works together with the rotating base to provide thorough lower rack coverage with water and dishwasher detergent.

Symptoms of a bad lower spray arm base include:

  • Inadequate cleaning of lower rack dishes
  • Dirt or food particles left behind after cycles
  • Loose or detached lower spray arm

Causes of a bad lower spray arm base can be wear over many cycles of use. Damage may occur from impact with dishes or utensils loaded incorrectly. Regular mineral buildup on the connectors also reduces efficient spinning.

This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.

For Ge Lower Spray Arm Base (Part Number: OEM12901644)

Andy for Model Number GSD2100V35CC

I purchased the part and followed your video on how to replace the sprayer arm base GE part number WD12X10244.on the great GE dishwasher model GSD2100V35CC. It broke when attempting to clean the filter by lifting up the sprayer arm with the secret tab hidden behind the base. I did everything as shown to install the new part Once I got to unscrewing the rubber connection, (after removing the clamp and pulling out pump motor), the rubber connector would not turn. No matter how hard I tried. So, I used a 6 inch long piece of 2" PVC piping and clamped it on the rubber connection and finally it turned. And turned, and turned. Problem is it turned both the rubber connection and the sprayer arm base. It's like they are one piece welded together. I see no way to dislodge the two parts.. Any suggestions besides dynamite? Thank you

Hello Andy. The only trick to unscrew the base WD12X10244 is the screwdriver in the slot and pry. It should break loose and come out. There is no other tricks. Sorry.

Priscilla, you'll stick a screwdriver into the spray arm base and unscrew it from the unit. This is done from the inside of the dishwasher. Thanks.
