Matthew February 17, 2023 for Model Number GSHS3KGZBCSS Hello, what would cause my GE fridge to run fine for 12 hours after power cycling, but then the compressor not coming back on the next day when it needs to re-cool again? I power cycle, and then the compressor runs fine again for 12 more hours. (All dirt and dust have been cleaned off the coils) The fridge works great if I power cycle once per day- just can't get the compressor to automatically come back on, but everything else seems fine?? So basically I need to unplug my fridge in order for my fridge to run and cool for several hours. Once it meets all the setpoints, the compressor turns off as it should. It is just not getting the signal to come back on, and then the temps slowly rise until I power cycle again. Thank you!
1 Answer Matthew, It would either be the main control board or a start relay on your compressor. Your condenser fan should operate anytime the compressor runs because it uses the same circuit. If the condenser fan runs but the compressor does not then I would replace the start device on your compressor. WR07X10143 If the fan by the compressor does not operate when the unit needs cooling then the main board would need to be replaced. WR55X24347 Read More...
Buzz Shepard January 05, 2022 for Model Number gshf3kgzbcbb We had a power outage. The fridge and the freezer stopped working. I unplugged and a half-hour later plugged in, only fridge light on no control panel.
1 Answer Buzz, Thanks for the question!!! This would most likely be a main control board WR55X24347 failure. Read More...
Raymond November 15, 2017 for Model Number gshf3kgzbccc This refrigerator stop working after I cleaned the coils at the back of the unit because the freezer was not cold enough. The front temperature display does not operate and the compressor or fans don't operate.I unplugged the unit for a minute and nothing. I seem to think the mother board is defective what is your thoughts or what is the next course of action I should take?
1 Answer Raymond, This issue will most likely be a main control board that is faulty and will need to be replaced. Read More...
