Hank November 19, 2012 for Model Number JGP636BEV I am ready to order for the above mentioned GE Cooktop. I am replacing all 5 burner bowls one large WB31K5076, two medium WB31K5078, and two small WB31K5077 . Also all five valve knobs WB3K5277. Also do I have to replace the old burner bowl seals with new ones? Finally do I need to purchase new five sets of the corresponding screws? Let me know if my order is correct for the corresponding appliance. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Hank, there are a couple more digits missing at the end of your model number. You should have JGP636BEV"1BB", "2BB", or "3BB" at the end of the model number. The parts all are the same except for the knobs. There was a change so you need to verify the 3 digits at the end of your model number to get the correct knobs. As far as replacing screws and the old burner bowl seals, depending on their condition, you may be able to re-use them. You just need to inspect them to see. Hope this helps! Read More...
Randy August 31, 2012 for Model Number JGP336BEV2BB I ordered the above burner bowls for the GE Profile Gas cooktop Model Number JGP336BEV2BB. I unscrewed the old burner bowl to lift out and replace, however, the ceramic ignitor is wired into the stove and it appears it must be removed some how as you cannot pull it through the hole without disconnecting it. How do I disconnect the white ceramic ignitor so I can get it through the hole in the burner bowl to replace with the new burner bowl? Or is there a way to get it through the hole of the old burner bowl without disconnecting the wire? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Randy! You can use needle nose pliers to remove the wiring to the ignitor, the wire should just pull off. Once removed you can lift the burner bowl. Thanks. Read More...

Rick C June 04, 2011 for Model Number JGP336BEV2 I have a similar question. My burner is 8.75 in., do I need a small, medium or large burner bowl?
1 Answer Hello Rick. The "small, medium, and large" do not refer to the size of the burner bowl, but rather, the size of the burner. You should have three burner sizes on your unit. After looking at these, you should be able to determine which burner you need a bowl for. I hope this info helps. Read More...
