Hello Kyle. You will need to check for a vent issue first. If the vent is good, then go to the thermostats. Last would be the coils on the unit.

Hello Andrew, If the problem only exists on an automatic dry cycle, the issue is an air flow restriction in the home ducting. If it does this on timed dry also, the issue is most likely a harness issue.

Lynn, Being a gas dryer, and based on your description, it's most likely the gas valve coils 5303931775. The best way to check a coil is to allow the dryer to run and heat for 15 to 20 minutes, remove power to the dryer and remove the wiring harness to the coils. The two terminal coil should have a reading of 1000 to 1500 ohms resistance, the three terminal coild should have 1300 to 1400 ohms across pin 1 and pin 2 and 500 to 600ohms resistance from pin 1 to pin 3, using a multi meter. You'll need to be careful, things in that area will be hot, and some edges may be sharp.
