A gasket - part # WB32K5050 has been ordered and will be sent to me. In viewing the video concerning this part installation, the gasket shown in the video looks like mine except the gasket in the video has clips to fasten it and the old gasket in my oven has no clips. When I tried to remove the old gasket, it came out in pieces as I pulled. My questions are: 1.How do I remove the old gasket? and 2.How do I install the new one? Thank you.

Hello Oliver. You will find several screws and washers (usually 2 per side) along the front edge of the cavity opening. You will need to loosen, but not remove the screws and "pull" the original gasket, out. Then carefully insert and "force" the new gasket into the opening, using a flat blade screwdriver or a "plastic" putty knife or push tool. You may need to lock the oven door a few times to get the door to seal and initially form.

Hello Neconsultant, You will need to shift the tub assembly around a bit to loosen it up and you should be able to work the old door seal loose. There are screws in the rear behind the rear panel. The bake compartment tub will have to slide out at least 1/4 inch to install the new seal.

The outside of my oven was heating quite a bit. Upon inspection I found that the door seal gasket was broken in pieces. I ordered the new gasket part # AP2028160 (GE par # WB32K5050). After receiving it we installed on the oven. it was a difficult process. Using the flat screw driver we force fitted the gasket, however, the oven door do not close completely and oven light stays on. Oven is still heating outside air. Is there a trick to install it properly. There was no instruction. Which side of the gasket stays out and which side goes behind ?We tried both ways but still not working. Please help !!!!
