Hot water heater exploded first then the silent leak from the commode tripled my water bill but enough about the joys of homeownership. Now I'd like to prevent my stove from going up in flames. The G E hood range had 2 filters installed, one on top of the other. Both were 17" x 11 3/8" and were metal mesh. One of them dropped small black pellets everywhere until I was able to rip it out. I believe the G E Deluxe 30 hood range I have is discontinued but replacement parts are available. However, I can't seem to find info on why there were 2 filters. I would like to know the function of each and the necessity of having two. I am confused on which 2 to buy and what order they should be installed. Thank you so much!
1 Answer Angie, There are 2 filters in this unit. One would be a charcoal filter and the other is a grease filter. The part number for the charcoal filter is WB2X2892 and grease filter TJRHF1112.
