Greg Sr. May 30, 2015 for Model Number TFX27PFSAAA GE icemaker WR17X4312. The part you call the "Helix Front" is starting to slip in relation to the auger when it is rotating. The result is very slow production of crushed ice. What should I replace to fix this problem?
1 Answer Greg, You will want to check the nut at the front of the auger blades to make sure that it is tight and has not loosened up causing this issue but in most cases the issue is caused by a bad drive blade WR2X7783 that has rounded out and not allowing a good fit up against the helix. There is no manual that explains the installation procedures. The service manuals only have explanations on the parts that only keep the unit running and cooling as a complete box itself and all accessories that pertain to that matter only.
