Ed June 25, 2021 for Model Number JGP933BEJ1BB The one ignitor on our cooktop keeps clicking but it does ignite the gas. What would cause the constant clicking? Thank you!
1 Answer Ed, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty igniter ground so check where the igniter is grounded to make sure that it is clean and if it is then the issue will be with the ignition switch. Read More...

Glenn B July 05, 2015 for Model Number JGP970SEKSS The electrode on my model (JGP970SEKSS) goes through a hole in the burner base. I need to remove the 5 burner bases to remove the glass top. The electrode is held in place by a spring and clip, the clip fitting in a groove. Do I need to move the clip or can I detach the wire from the bottom of the electrode. I think I can reach them. If I remove the clip, it looks difficult, at best, to get the spring compressed and the clip reattached, without destroying the electrode. What is the best way to reattach the spring and clip, if I have to do that?
1 Answer Glenn, When you lift the burner base off the igniter should lift up with the burner base but if it does not then you can still remove the igniter without having to remove the main top. There really is no special way to reattach the spring and clip. Just pay close attention to how it is removed. Read More...
Donald S July 04, 2015 for Model Number JGP963CEC2CC It appears that the wire connector for the spark ignitor is bad. How can I replace this connector? Do I need the buy the entire wire? What is the model number of the wire if it is available?
1 Answer Donald, The manufacturer does not list the igniter wire as a separate part. The connector for the igniter would be a 1/8" female spade and would need to be high temp. Unfortunately we do not have these terminals available. Read More...
Craig June 03, 2015 for Model Number JGP963sec2ss One igniter will not spark. How do I remove the old igniter and install the new one on this unit?
1 Answer Hello Craig, First remove the grates and burner caps. Note the burner caps are different sizes so keeping them in order will help during re-assembly if more than one is being done at once. Removing the burner caps exposes the burner screws. When these are removed, the burner can be lifted and the ignitor unplugged and replaced. Read More...
Tony March 06, 2015 for Model Number JGP933SEK2SS One rear igniter is not working. Parts diagram shows two different part numbers; WB13T10010 ignitor & WB13K10014 electrode. Pictures look to be similar parts... The igniter is more money ($16 compared to $4), but I am unsure if its necessary... Thanks
1 Answer Tony, These igniters are essentially the same type of part. It should not make a difference in which one is put on the unit. Read More...
