John February 23, 2021 for Model Number CDW9380N20SS It appears the control panel may have failed - the unit wont start and the buttons are not properly controlling the intended function LED (e.g. pushing delayed timer also changes the wash type). I assume this is because it's the control panel but is it possible the problem is rooted with control module electronics? I would hate to pay $200 for the control panel to find out it's something else. Your advice is appreciated! Thanks...
1 Answer John, It would be recommended to disconnect the ribbon harness from the control board that goes to the control panel and clean the ribbon harness really well. Reconnect and see if this changes anything. If it does not then the control panel would be the most likely cause for this issue. Read More...
Ar April 14, 2017 for Model Number CDW9380N20SS The touchpad on my dishwasher appears to be faulty...only 2 lights are lit, and the touchpad does not respond when buttons are pressed. Is this a difficult repair? It appears that you simply plug it in on one end, but how is the actual touch pad installed? Thank you!
1 Answer AR, It's not quite that easy, but it's not difficult either. Remove power to the dishwasher, then remove the outer door panel. Carefully remove the key pad ribbon from the control (you may need to dismount the control, to make it easier). Then, use a fingernail or flat tool to peel up the keypad, (be very careful if you use a tool). Use rubbing alcohol lighter fluid or "Goo Gone" and remove any remaining adhesive on the panel. partially remove the paper backing and install the keypad assembly to the panel , insert the end of the ribbon through the opening in the door panel and secure the rest of the key pad. carefully press out any air bubbles and make sure the key pad is secured. insert the ribbon into the control, Revrese the removal procedure and test the dishwasher for programming and operation.
