This control panel keypad lets you enter cook settings and commands so your oven responds correctly to touch inputs. A direct-replacement user interface for restoring responsive button control and basic front-panel operation. What it does:

  • Provides the front-panel buttons for selecting bake, broil, timers and other oven functions
  • Sends user button presses to the appliance control so selected cycles start or change
  • Fixes unresponsive, sticky, or missing button input when the keypad is the faulty component
  • Restores normal tactile feedback and front-panel input recognition when replaced

John, It would be recommended to disconnect the ribbon harness from the control board that goes to the control panel and clean the ribbon harness really well. Reconnect and see if this changes anything. If it does not then the control panel would be the most likely cause for this issue.

AR, It's not quite that easy, but it's not difficult either. Remove power to the dishwasher, then remove the outer door panel. Carefully remove the key pad ribbon from the control (you may need to dismount the control, to make it easier). Then, use a fingernail or flat tool to peel up the keypad, (be very careful if you use a tool). Use rubbing alcohol lighter fluid or "Goo Gone" and remove any remaining adhesive on the panel. partially remove the paper backing and install the keypad assembly to the panel , insert the end of the ribbon through the opening in the door panel and secure the rest of the key pad. carefully press out any air bubbles and make sure the key pad is secured. insert the ribbon into the control, Revrese the removal procedure and test the dishwasher for programming and operation.
