Alex June 01, 2023 for Model Number JCT3000SF1SS I can't get my oven to unlock. I have tried to unplug it to see if it would reset but I am not having any luck. Can you please advise how to get this to unlock and would I have to replace this part once it does get unlocked?
1 Answer Alex, if starting the clean cycle and then canceling it within 15 seconds does not get the door to unlock, the main control would need to be tested for voltage output to the latch motor to identify if it is sending voltage or not. If not, the next step would be testing the temperature sensor for 1100 Ohms. If the sensor tests good, it would be likely the main control WB27X25321 has failed. If there was voltage output, with the power supply to the wall oven turned off, a wire hanger would need to be used to force the door latch to unlock. The door latch assembly WB10X23814 would need to be replaced in this case. Read More...
1 Answer Aaron, the switches on the latch assembly WB10X23814 would be tested for continuity when the power supply is turned off. However, the motor portion of the latch assembly would be tested for voltage to identify if the latch engages and disengages when voltage is applied. Read More...
