Susan M August 22, 2015 for Model Number JES2251SJ02 I close the microwave door, the light stays on and it will not start. The digital read out shows the number of seconds but the light stays on and the machine does not work. Sometimes if you slam it real hard and just happen to get it in the right spot (I guess) it will run, but takes many tries. I looked at the latch and spring and it seems to be ok except that the spring may have lost some of its'strength and may not be providing the tension it needs for the latch to engage. I'm not sure. Could it be that is just needs a new spring and if so, how do I order one? Thank you

Corny D December 31, 2011 for Model Number jes2251sj02 The door doesn't seem to close every time (at least I think this is what's happening), either the light stays on or the microwave itself doesn't go on but the timer counts down. Is this a common issue with this model? Mine is just 1 year old.
1 Answer Hello Corny. You will need to check and see if any of the micro-switches WB24X10139 or WB24X10140 is bad and will need to be replaced. If so, it will cause the problems you are having.
