1 Answer Bscronce, The issue with the unit would most likely be a control board issue. Unfortunately the control board has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Mark T March 19, 2015 for Model Number Thermador SEM272 Electric Oven I ran a self clean on the oven Now it intermittently errors F33. The temp sensors seems like it ohms out ok. Could it still be the sensor. Or is it the relay board for sure?
1 Answer Mark, The F33 would be that there is an overtemp detected which would mean that either the oven sensor or the relay board are faulty. The oven sensor is the most likely cause for the failure but if there is a relay sticking then the board could cause the overtemp. Read More...
Ron December 18, 2014 for Model Number JB905CEF3CC I have a gas GE Profile range. I just replaced the membrane panel on the controls, and it was working fine. Now, the oven shuts off during the cooking after fifteen minutes or so. It will shut completely off, no indicators lit on panel except the clock. Even the kitchen timer shuts off. I can restart it again, and it will run for sometimes quite a while. Should I clean the stove entirely? Might that be the problem? I had an oven fire, and tons of black smoke emitted. Shortly after that, the control membrane went bad. Once, I saw a F2 error on the panel. But usually, it just shuts off the oven, the timer, and the display shows only the clock. Completely off.
1 Answer Hello Ron, The F2 fault code indicates an over temperature inside oven cavity as measured by sensor over 650°F unlatched or 915°F latched. This can be caused by welded relay contacts on the control board or high resistance in oven sensor leads/connectors (especially at sensor in rear). Read More...
Don November 23, 2014 for Model Number GE Profile XL44, no. JGBP85WE5WW The oven will only heat to the set temperature momentarily, then decreases. I have replaced the Igniter and the oven sensor assembly.
1 Answer Don, You will need to check the wiring between the oven sensor and the control board to make sure that there is continuity. If this checks ok and there is a new sensor on the unit then the issue would be with the control board which will need to be replaced. Read More...
Robert W October 14, 2014 for Model Number JB450GP Bake or broil for oven doesn't work at all. Push broil, set time, then it runs for 10 sec. and the display clears. Does this have anything to do with the self cleaning function??
1 Answer Hello Robert. It does not sounds like the self clean issue. It sounds like the control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Townhouse Rent September 30, 2014 for Model Number JGBP33SEH3SS Ge gas oven doesn't reach proper temperature. Set to 350 degrees the oven only reached about 280. Pulled probe and checked ohms at about 900-1000. Reinstalled probe and oven appeared to work for a few days. Igniter and temp cycle appeared to work. Set to 400 and oven doesn't reach temperature. Checked for obvious intermittent in wiring. Question is whether to replace probe or to replace probe and control board.
1 Answer Townhouse rent, With the resistance showing 900 to 1000 ohms of resistance, this is low and would most likely be the cause for the issue. Would recommend replacing the oven sensor WB21X5301. Read More...

Bob August 08, 2014 for Model Number JKP14W0P3 Follow up information: After reading a question on your site< I listened for the fan at 170-300 deg and it is not coming on. Is my model equiped with this thermal fuse for the cooling fan? with the fault(F3) only coming on when the oven is at higher temps for a period of time is it possible the fan failure is the cause?
Andy August 07, 2014 for Model Number JKP14WOP1WG GE wall oven Had a F3 code. Replaced the sensor and still getting the code. Is it the control panel?
1 Answer Hello Andy. If the sensor is new, and the wiring is good, then it is the control board that is bad. Read More...
