Keith February 18, 2023 for Model Number GTWN4250D2WS The washer won't fill to the proper level regardless of the setting. Already replaced the pressure switch and no change. Could it be those spring rods? Red rear ones perhaps? The tub kind of leans toward the left rear.
1 Answer Keith, Thanks for the question!!! The rod should be replaced since the tub leans. This could cause a misreading on the pressure switch. Read More...
Pinewoodcarver March 20, 2021 for Model Number GHWN4250DOWW GHWN4250DOWW: why are the front and rear suspension rods different? Most washers the suspension rods are all the same.
1 Answer Pinewoodcarver, We do not have specification ratings on the shocks but would more than likely be so that the rear shocks can withstand a heavier weight because they are supporting more of the weight with the way the tub leans. Read More...
Larry October 17, 2020 for Model Number HTWP1400F2WW Washer seems to go out of balance on spin most times with small to medium load. I have replaced all 4 tub straps and the front two suspension rods. I noticed the back rods were extremely expensive so I thought I would start with replacing just the front two. Washer still makes banging noise about half the time. Can you tell me the difference between the front and back suspension rods? They look the same other than the color of the plastic housing covering the spring. The price difference is considerable between front and rear. Just trying to understand the difference.
1 Answer Larry, The difference in the front and rear shocks is the spring itself. The rear takes more of a hit when washing so its a stiffer spring. Remove the front panel and make sure the counterweight by the motor is still attached and not loose. They were some problems with these coming disconnected and causing out of balance issues. Lee H December 30, 2015 for Model Number GTWN2800D0WW My washer is spinning out of balance very easily. I believe I need 2 new suspension rod assemblys, part #wh16x10159 for the back and 2 part #wh16x10158 for the front. Problem is the back ones are much more expensive than the front. If I place an order for the back, does it come as a set or do I have to buy both back ones separately?
1 Answer Lee, These suspension rods come as 1 per package and you would need to purchase 2 of each. Read More...
