Dane November 02, 2017 for Model Number ,GSD3230ZZ2WW I recently replaced the shaft seal on my GE Potscrubber, but now the plunger for the solenoid keeps falling off. The solenoid will pull it all the way down, but when it shuts off, the spring yanks the plunger out of the hole and sometimes the vibration of the dishwasher makes it fall out of the valve arm.
1 Answer Dane, In most cases, this is due the white shifter arm, "rounding off" on the gate valve/flapper shaft. Replacing the drain solenoid kit WD21X10060 / WD21X10060 will solve the issue. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Mitch, we show that solenoid assembly part number WD21X10060 is the correct replacement for your model number. Thanks! Read More...
1 Answer Ronald, Yes the solenoid could develop a leak during the cycle and is normally a seal that may have gone bad. Read More...
Stephen December 23, 2015 for Model Number GSD3230F00WN After cycle there seems to be water left in the bottom of the tank. Like it does not all drain out. Could it be the solenoid?
1 Answer Stephen, This would not be a solenoid issue but would be more likely that the piston and Nut assembly is faulty. The part number for the piston and nut assembly is WD24X10018. Read More...
Leonard D December 04, 2015 for Model Number HDA2100H35BB Hi guys I bought the drain solenoid from you're company the plunger was melted inside the solenoid I preyed it out the plunger had melted inside the solenoid on the plunger surface The outside armature that controls it from washing to drain was also melted I put it all back together cleaned the plunge installed the solenoid started the dishwasher as soon as it came to drain it started smelling hot again I pulled it apart sure as anything the solenoid had melted again so what am I looking at. Could it be the timer
1 Answer Leonard, You will want to check the wiring between the drain solenoid and the timer. Also check the internal working for the pump. If all this checks ok then the issue will be a faulty timer. Read More...
Leonard D November 20, 2015 for Model Number HDA2100H35BB I have a Hotpoint dishwasher HDA2100H35BB The dishwasher runs but does not drain as it was washing the dishes it started smelling like plastic and it was strong then I noticed it took it four hours to wash a load of dishes but didn't drain It runs and washes but doesn't drain whats the problem.
1 Answer Leonard, You will want to check the solenoid for the drain. It sounds like the solenoid may have burnt out and would need to be replaced. The part number for the solenoid is [AP3994907. Read More...
Rachael August 07, 2015 for Model Number GSD2600G00BB I'm trying to solve a problem with my dishwasher - it doesn't fill enough to spin the spray arm. I've checked the float function works and replaced the water valve already. The solenoid has mineral deposits on the bottom. Will replacing that kit be likely to fix my problem, or should I do something else? Thanks, Rachael
1 Answer Rachael, You will want to check inside the pump to make sure that there is nothing in the pump that would cause a restriction. Also check the impeller of the pump to ensure that it is not damaged. Read More...
Charles February 24, 2015 for Model Number GHD3525F00BB My dishwasher appears to be washing but I noticed about an inch or two of dirty water left in the bottom. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Charles, You will need to check the impeller for debris, the drain line for obstructions, and the drain pump for a separated impeller, (since the impeller is plastic and the motor shaft is stainless steel, it is common for the impeller to spin freely on the motor shaft, causing the pump to be incapable of moving water). If all of the screens are clear, one of these will be the issue. Read More...
