Joan July 31, 2016 for Model Number PSS23MSTCSS My GE Profile refrigerator PSS23MSTCSS door swings too far and hits my counter. However, all the other questioners have different models. Do I need the door stop (part WR02X10782) or the cam riser closure (part WR02X10779)?
1 Answer Joan, This door is designed to swing oped to a point where the door is at a angled position when all the way open. If it is swinging open to the fullest then it would be more likely that the door stop would be the issue. Read More...
Bam February 14, 2015 for Model Number PSS26NGPABB Is there an optional door stop for this model which will keep the door from opening as far as the original doorstop? I've moved and there is a 45 degree wall adjacent to the hinge side of the fresh food side of the refridgerator which the door hits before the door stop can stop the door.
1 Answer Bam, Unfortunately there is no type of door stop to keep the door from opening further than the original stopping point. Read More...
Eric September 23, 2014 for Model Number GTL18JCPRRBS Hi. The door stop on my GE refrigerator (GTL18JCPRRBS) is missing so the door swings all the way open into the cabinets. Can you please let me know which part is required to fix this? Thx
Susan February 16, 2014 for Model Number GSHF5KGXGCWW The door swings open and will not stop. I ordered part #AP3670365 and it still is swinging. It still does not seem to be catching on the door stop. As we tightened the door stop it pulled away from the bottom of the door, thus not stopping it
1 Answer Susan, If the door stop at its tightest is still pulling away from the door of the refrigerator then it sounds like the screw holes may be stripped or rounded out bigger than the screw. If this is the case you may want to see if you can put a bigger screw into it to keep it from moving around. If this does not work then the only thing you could do is replace the door of the refrigerator. Read More...

1 Answer Hello David! The door stop listed for your model is part number WR02X10782. You'll need to remove the door in order to replace the stop. There are two screws holding the stop in place that you'll need to remove. No special tools are required. Thanks. Read More...

Mary July 31, 2012 for Model Number PSS26PSTASS I need the door stop, however the screws that attach it to the door are not a straight or phillips. They look like a star or allan type screwhead. Is there a specific tool needed to remove the screws? My doorstop actually is made of metal and cracked off the part of the piece that stops the door. Can the stop be replaced without removing the whole door? It would be great if there were a specific allen type tool to do this.
1 Answer Hello Mary. If it is a star, you will need to use a torx bit to remove the screws. Read More...
Tom February 28, 2012 for Model Number PSS26SGRE SS The Fresh Food Door, when opening, does not stop like it used too, thus, it hits the wall. What part is needed and how do I get instructions on how to fix the problem? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Tom. The door stop WR02X10782 is the part that stops the door from swinging too far. To replace it you must take off the top door hinge and remove the door. The door stop mounts on the bottom of the door with 2 screws. You might be able to fix the old one without removing the door if it is just bent. Otherwise, replacement is the only alternative. Hope this was helpful! Read More...
