Todd July 02, 2014 for Model Number WPRE8150H1WT My washer will not agitate properly. It moves slightly during the first ~10 mins. It does drain and spin dry appropriately (later in the cycle). I took the agitator off and the gears were fine, not stripped. I then had a repair man look at it and he said it seemed liked the control board wasn't talking to the motor properly. Any additional thoughts on what could cause the issue beyond this? If I replace the control board do I need to replace any other parts at the same time since I'll have it apart? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, Todd
1 Answer Hello Todd. It does not sound like the board. You will need to check the mode shifter WH38X10017 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
