Dale Freeman September 07, 2011 for Model Number DPGT150EC2PL What does this part do? My dryer is not heating. I have checked the brakers and they are fine. Every so often the blower motor will drag and quit running and then it will come back on. I am wanting to figure out why my dryer won't heat. Do you know of anything else I need to check?
1 Answer Hi Dale. The safety and the hi -limit thermostats are designed to open in case of a shorted or a "run-away" overheat occurs. The thermostats open 1 at a time to shut down the dryer running and heating in case of this issue. Safety Parts, the thermostat for the blower hsg. is part # WE04X10123. The elenent hsg, thermostats are part # WE04X10124 and part # WE04X10125. The heater is part # WE11X10016. Clean the vent assy. and vent cap outside to insure no clogs and proper flow. Thank you.
