Gene W. March 26, 2022 for Model Number EAK-10M00 ELECTRIC RANGE I checked the elements and they are good. The oven does not come on, the elements do not heat up but the terminals on the switch seem to have power when I turn the switch on. Driving me nuts, I usually fix my appliances! I need help! $800 to replace the apartment-sized range.
1 Answer Hello Gene, You will need to remove power to the unit and disconnect one wire from the bake element and make sure they cannot contact anything. Power the unit back up and put it in to bake. Using a voltmeter set to the 200Vac scale and see if there is 120Vac on the terminal you removed the wire from. Then check to see if there is 120Vac on the wire that you disconnected. The side that has no voltage is the one that will need to be traced back to the problem. If the wire leads back to the bake relay on the board and 120Vac in on the terminal on the other side of this relay, the relay is bad and the board will need to be replaced. I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to please post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

Petrus September 02, 2019 I bought a GEH WB 20K10026 Thermostat Electric from you my work order 24560871 from you. It seems that the thermostat is not working as there is no continuity between the two terminals, whether it is switch on or off. All the other parts test correctly, the safety valve and the igniter switch. What could be the problem or is the switch faulty? Thanks P J Scholtz
1 Answer Petrus, With the switch on there should be continuity. The switch must be faulty. Read More...
