Hello Linda, This is a "D" shaft knob. It slides onto the stem so it will have to be pulled straight off.

If you provide your model number, I can make sure the knob is correct for your model. Sometimes it can be hard to determine exact color in the pictures because of different light used, etc. Thanks!

Center the back of the knob on the shaft, ensure the notch on the shaft and back of knob are aligned and apply a small amount of pressure. The knob should slide in place. Hope this helps.
