Rob, Remove the two(2) T-15 Torx screws from the bottom of the control panel. Loosen the two 1/4-in. hex-head screws (1 from each corner) that attach the top of the control panel to the range.Place a protective surface over the cooktop. Pull out the bottom of the control panel, then lift the panel off the range. Place the control panel in the service position. Mark and disconnect the wires and wire harnesses. Eli, The first and most important step, is to remove power to the range, before you start any repair. " BACKGUARD DISASSEMBLY Place a towel or other protective padding on the range top. Remove the (1) T-15 torx mounting screw from each end front. Loosen the (2) 1/4" hex head screws one in each upper corner back side. Gently pull the backguard panel out at the bottom and lift the panel upward. Lower the panel onto the protected range top." Remember to label each connector and wire as you disconnect them from the switches and control board, it will make it a lot easier when you start to put things back together.
