Thomas B for Model Number GE GSC3230Z03WW

Have a GE portable dishwasher model #GSC3230Z03WW Would like to permanently install to plumbing approximately 57 inches away from sink drain and water supply. Was told could not do because pump in dishwasher not powerful enough to drain water that distance . Can you confirm or suggest alternative. Kitchen setup is too small to locate dishwasher closer, therefore portable has been the alternative. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

1 Answer

Thomas, That is correct as the recommended distance for a dishwasher would be no more than 4 foot.

Patrick, the image is what you'll receive when you order the part. However, this is used on GE dishwashers. The Inglis model supplied is not pulling up in our system. If you are still needing help please verify the model and serial number and repost for further assistance. Thank you.

Hello Jeanne! Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not offer a longer hose. Sorry about that!

Leonard H for Model Number GSC3400f00BL

I'd love to buy part WD35X194 (the unicoupler) for my GE Nautilus portable dishwasher, but there does not seem to be an easy way to replace the old one. Do I have to take off the top, and then the outer shell, first, or is there a simpler solution? I'm unemployed and really can't afford a new one or to have this one "professionally" repaired. It leaks at the faucet where the four plastic "discs" are worn, otherwise, it still runs great. Thanks.

Leonard, It's not a real easy repair to make, but then it's not that hard either. Yes, you will need to remove the top panel, as well as the lower access panel on the front, below the door. Disconnect the fill hose from the valve and the drain hose from the pump connector, it'll be a bit tight, but doable. Removing the coupler pocket WD12M79 from the back of the cabinet will make it a bit easier to work with, but isn't mandatory. Cut or remove any retainers(wire ties) and pull the assembly out of the unit. Reverse the process and you're done, It shouldn't takr that long or be that difficult.
