1 Answer Joe, Test for 3.2-3.6 vac at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Bigs October 25, 2013 for Model Number AGBS300PJ1WW My oven control knob became defective and fell off, so I used a pair of vice grips to turn it on and off, until I could replace the knob. When the new knob came in, I discovered that the post it slides onto had become stripped from turning with the vice grips. So now I need to replace the post that holds the knob on, but I not sure from looking at the diagram which part it is. Any help would be arciated thanks.
