For Lg Hose Connector (Part Number: OEM14995503)

George for Model Number WM0642HW

I've been told by another person who owns an LG washing machine that there is a small hose on the bottom of the tub that deteriorates. My wife has had large amounts of black rubber looking substance showing up on two or three loads in a row. Continuing to run loads has diminished the amount of soil. Does this sound like a hose is going bad? If it is this type of hose, is there a danger that it will rupture and cause water to pour into the floor?

1 Answer

Hello George, I have not heard of a widespread problem with a hose deteriorating but since they are manmade it is possible. If there was enough of the substance in the wash to ruin some of the articles, it should have already leaked in the floor. If this is the case, squeezing the hose would rupture it. It is also possible that it was something that inadvertently got into the wash.
