Rod November 14, 2015 for Model Number LFX21960ST When the unit stopped cooling, I checked and found the Overload and PTC assembly with capacitor OEM Part - Manufacturer #EBG44308702 was discontinued. I ordered Thermistor assembly,ptc (AP5949339), Capacitor (AP4591437), and overload Protector (AP4651578) to replace the kit. When trying to connect the parts, I realized that it also needed an appropriate housing or cover. I ordered AP4437174, but am now curious who the origional wiring will work. It seems there are an extra terminal or two that were connected in the old cover, but I am haivng difficulty imagining how the wiring works. Do I need a jumper to connect the capicator?
1 Answer Rod, On the original wiring there may have been 2 wires that went to the overload relay assembly and the capacitor connected to the top of it. If this is the case then you would need to install the overload and relay only and the capacitor would no longer be needed for this. Read More...
