Rich August 27, 2019 for Model Number LMXS30776S/01 The left side of the freezer handle has come off. I have removed the screw and tried to tighten it. It won't go in far enough to hold the handle in place. I suspect that the installers damaged the threads inside the hole. Can I buy just the little piece inside the handle that contains the threaded hole?

I am actually trying to retrofit an older LG model where parts are no longer available. I am hopeful that I can make the freezer handle fit (I am pretty handy with jigging things to work). However, I need to know the center to center mounting hole distance....how far apart on the freezer door the fasteners are that go into the holes on the part. In other words, if you look at the part, the two holes that the pieces go into (that the set screw engages), how far apart are those two holes (I am seeking something with a 27" separation).
