Sky February 13, 2019 for Model Number LDF7551ST My dishwasher is persistently throwing a "tE" error code. I think this indicates a possible faulty temperature sensor / thermistor. Is the heater assembly AP5675846 the correct part to replace in this case?
1 Answer Sky, you will want to check the wiring and thermistor by going to wire connection RD6 on the main control. If you disconnect power to the dishwasher, you will then be able to safely test that thermistor by removing the connection from the control and testing the red wire at pin 3 to the black wire at pin 2. You will want to test for the resistance of that thermistor which should read between 11 and 14 k ohms. If there is not a resistance reading, then you will want to check the wiring to ensure that there are no breaks in the wiring. If the wiring is good and there is no resistance or the resistance is not within that range, you will want to replace the thermistor [AEG72950001]. If the resistance is within that proper range, you would want to change out the main control [EBR63265303]. Read More...
