Symptoms of a bad bake element include:

  • Oven not heating evenly or not reaching the set temperature
  • Visible damage such as breaks or blisters on the element
  • The element not glowing red when in use
  • Longer cooking times than usual

This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

I have a LG Range Model Number LRE30453ST/01 My bake element is out on it and i have a new one to replace it,but i am having a problem finding out how to get to bake element to replace it.The video on your website shows a completely different range and element change out.It shows the element being in the oven part with the broil element at top.On my range the only element in the oven part in the broil element.I am hoping your can help me find a video somewhere ,maybe another video on your site or on you tube that i can watch and see how to replace bake element. If not i hope your might be able to point me in a direction where i can find info telling me how to get to element and replace it.Thanks so much for your time.

Justin, This unit has a hidden bake element in it and you will need to pull the range out and remove the rear cover. Once removed there will be a spot at the bottom of the unit that will have 2 wires going to it where the bake element is, you would remove the cover over this area and disconnect the wires. The bake element should slide out at that point to be able to replace it.
