Brenda L. January 14, 2017 for Model Number LFX28968st/02 We called LG to ship us a new ice maker to fit this refrigerator. We were shipped AEQ72910411, which has a different plug. The ice maker that is in the refrigerator is AEQ73110208. Please tell me what do we do now. The lady I spoke with gave me this model and the message on my answering machine was the same model.

Connie July 20, 2016 for Model Number LFX28968SB After trouble shooting, I believe I need to replace the motor of my LG icemaker. I see there is both an icemaker assembly kit and also understand there is a separate motor. Does the assembly kit include the motor and is it even necessary to replace the whole ice make if it appears to be a motor issue?? Thank you!
Triet June 03, 2016 for Model Number instruction to replace lg aeq72910411 Can you send me the instruction to replace lg aeq72910411?
1 Answer Triet, To replace the icemaker assembly, you will want to remove the ice bin. There will then be a screw in the middle of the door below the icemaker and 2 next to the ice chute and one at the top in the left corner. You will then pull the icemaker/auger assembly out of the unit and remove 4 phillips screws holding the icemaker to the housing. Once removed you will then take the icemaker out with the wiring, install the new one and screw down and reinstall. Read More...
Ben April 24, 2016 for Model Number LG LFX28968SB /04 I am trying to figure out what the part number is for the icemaker for this refrigerator. The icemaker doesn't have a visible part number that I can see. I also would like a diagram of the water dispensor and ice maker parts. The problem I am having is that when the ice from the ice maker thaws the glass is full of flaky white particles. This doesn't happen when I freeve water from the tap or the refrigerator's water dispensor. While I think it's the icemaker, I'd like to see how the water lines run from the filter to the water dispenser and ice makerwin and what the part numbers are for that water line. Thanks. Ben
1 Answer Ben, The icemaker part number for your unit is AEQ72910411. Unfortunately we do not have any information on the tubing routing to be able to send this information. It is normally calcium in the water that would cause the white particles. Read More...
