This genuine OEM part is a control board assembly for refrigerators. The control board assembly is the main circuit board that controls the refrigerator's primary functions such as adjusting and maintaining temperature. Over time, a refrigerator's control board can become inoperable due to excessive use. If the refrigerator is no longer cooling and failing to maintain its desired temperature, the control board might need to be replaced. To replace the control board assembly, start by unplugging the refrigerator. After that, proceed to open the freezer door and uninstall the side panel to gain access to the old control board. Once accessed, remove the wire harness and any individual wires attached to the control board assembly. Unfasten the mounting screws holding the assembly in place, and pull the control board out. Set it to the side, and proceed to install the new board. Reattach the wires in their correct terminals, and reinstall the side panel. This authentic replacement part is sold individually and is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is compatible with LG brand refrigerators.

Questions & Answers

For Lg Refrigerator Control Board Assembly (Part Number: OEM13372167)

Donald, you will want to check the voltage going to the dispenser board. The display board should receive constant voltage and if it does receive constant voltage during a state of failure, then the display board [6871JB2047A] is bad. If the display does not receive a constant voltage supply, then the main control [6871JB1215J] is the issue.

Basil for Model Number kenmore fridge mod# 795.75012402

I had a low voltage problem in my neighborhood and just after that my refrigerator temperature control selector which is the left side is the fridge and the right side is freezer. The setting are 1 thru 7 on either side. So I notice that freezer side stay lite up on 5 6 7, and the fridge side is not lite up. And i'm not able to make any adjustment or change the setting on the side that's lite up which is the freezer. So i unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes and plug it back in, and it started back working like it normally use to. Both sides lite up and I can adjust the temp setting as I would like on either side. But this will only work or stay like this until it makes a few cycles on and off, and then it goes back to the freezer setting only 567, and stays like that. The refrigerator is cooling top & bottom and cycling off as it normally does. Could I have a bad control board due to the low voltage problem that I had? It's a Kenmore refrigerator, the fridge compartment is at the top & the freezer is at the bottom, mod#795.75012402.

Steve, Based on the description of the issue, it does sound like this could be the case with the unit. You will want to check to see if you notice the unit running at the time that it is warming up in the freezer. If it is not then unplug the unit and plug it back up and see if it come right on. If it does then the control board would be the issue.

Hello Saruni. If the main board is not powering the compressor, and the defrost is not working, you will need to order and replace the main board on the unit.

Allen, There is a damper in the duct assembly that sounds like it is stuck open and would be causing the freezing issue. If the door is broken or stuck then the duct assembly [AP4439530 would need to be replaced.

James, You will want to check the evaporator for a full complete and even frost pattern. If there is very little frost on the coils then the issue would be a sealed system leak. If there is no frost pattern then it is either a compressor, leak or restriction in the sealed system.

Ray for Model Number LRBN22514st

Ice cream and other foods are not cold enough. Bought freezer thermometer and temp was in the upper 20’s F. Actions: Cleaned condenser coils – no change in temperature. Removed freezer cover panel and inspected evaporator (no frost). Unplugged defrost thermostat and defrost heater element and operated refrigerator – Freezer temperatures dropped to low-mid teens. Ordered replacement defrost thermostat. Installed new defrost thermostat and plugged in heater element. After 48 hours the freezer temperature is at 23°F and the refrigerator temp is at 37°F. What else I should try before calling a serviceman or buying a new refrigerator? Thanks

Hello Ray, If there was no frost pattern on the evaporator, the issue is definitely not related to the defrost circuit. I'm curious as to whether there was any ice at the back wall where the freon line enters the freezer compartment. This would be an indication of a freon loss. If there was no ice at all and the temperature dropped to 32°F, I would be more inclined to suspect a bad relay on the control board. This would cause the unit to operate normally at times and not operate normally when the relay didn't make electrical connection. 37°F is a perfect temperature for the fresh food compartment, but 23 is at least 8° too warm for the freezer compartment. I believe the most likely suspect in the electrical control circuit would be an out-of-tolerance temperature sensor 6500JB2002T in the freezer compartment. The last thing to try, (because of cost), would be the control board 6871JB1215J.
