The Rack is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. It is responsible for holding dishes, glassware, cutlery and other items securely in place during the wash cycle. The rack features an adjustable design that allows it to fit variably sized loads. 

Causes of a bad rack can include warping or bending of the wires over time due to heavy loads, and damage to the rack's ability to pivot or slide properly due to excess debris or buildup. 

Symptoms of a bad rack include:

  • Dishes and silverware falling over or not being securely held in place during the wash cycle
  • Difficulty fitting dishes evenly on the rack 
  • Damage or bending of the rack wires
  • Rust or corrosion building up on the rack
