Sarah December 03, 2012 for Model Number DLE8377WM I have the seemingly ever popular cracked drum so I think the 3045EL1002G will solve that however it take FOREVER to dry is there a test to tell if the heating element is going out as well? Als my hubby wants to save $$$ and do it himself will I need to buy belts or gaskets as well? How hard is it to do?
1 Answer Hello Sarah. If the unit is heating, It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Read More...
Tim December 02, 2012 for Model Number LG Dryer DLE3777W My dryer makes makes a whining type noise as it runs. The noise is more prominant at the beginning of the cycle and with heavier loads. What parts may need to be replaced? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Tim, You may want to pull the belt off unit and start unit up to see if the unit is still making noise. If it is then you would want to check your blower to see if there may be something in the blower housing causing the noise. If nothing in the blower housing then you may have a bad motor bearing and motor would need to be replaced. Read More...
