This washer tub assembly is the stationary outer tub that surrounds the spin basket and contains the wash water. Replacing a cracked or damaged tub helps stop leaks and restores proper clearance for smooth, quiet washing and spinning.

  • Creates a watertight chamber around the basket to hold wash and rinse water
  • Maintains proper basket clearance; damage can cause rubbing or scraping sounds
  • Provides connection points for hoses and water-level components
  • Common signs it may be needed: leaks from the tub area, visible cracks or warping, persistent out-of-balance/spin errors, or internal scraping/grinding noises
What's included: 1 tub assembly Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and water; shut off supplies and safely drain remaining water
  • This is a major repair—allow time and consider a second person to help lift/support the tub
  • Transfer model-specific parts from the original tub to the new tub as needed; reinstall all clamps, bolts, and sensors securely
  • After reassembly, level the washer, and run a test cycle to check for leaks

Hello Sarah. If the unit is heating, It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.

Hello Tim, You may want to pull the belt off unit and start unit up to see if the unit is still making noise. If it is then you would want to check your blower to see if there may be something in the blower housing causing the noise. If nothing in the blower housing then you may have a bad motor bearing and motor would need to be replaced.
