I noticed on the old one and also the videos on your website that they all have two bands of stick black tape around the exterior of the drum. The new one does not come with any tape. I expected that but before I place it in the system - do I need to buy this tape and where? I don't see it on your website but may be missing it. Thank you. Deon

Ao February 15, 2020 for Model Number LG DLE2514W We replaced the drum last year due to the original one cracking at the seam. Now I have noticed that the felt is pulling away and coming apart at several points on the front part of the drum. Is this a problem? Can we replace just the felt or do we need a new drum? Thanks!
1 Answer AO, the drum seal felt 4036EL3001A is a replaceable item and may require hi-temp adhesive WPY055980. If the seal is tearing, then it would need to be replaced. If it has loosened, the hi-temp adhesive could be attempted to secure it back in place, but it could not be a guaranteed fix. The guaranteed fix would be replacing the felt seal. Read More...

Dan September 30, 2016 for Model Number DLE2514W (LG Tromm) There is a small crack in a weld of the drum causing a thumping sound. When replacing the drum do I also need to replace the belt and drum seal? Also, the part I get when searching my model is AP5782005, but when I put my model in the compatibility or cross reference check it says this is not for my model. Can you confirm?
