I think the problem may be a broken housing (where the filter should engage), but I need a picture of an intact housing to be sure.

We are assuming that when someone tried to insert it previously, that something might have broken off or in it.. Now the filter will not come out & there is no water coming out of the door.. David January 09, 2018 for Model Number RS267TDBP/XAA-0000 The water dispenser is pulsing after filling a glass just a bit. It continues pulsing with a loud snapping sound associated with it. Letting it set for a while will stop the pulsing but only for a while. It used to happen once a month or so, then once a week, but now every time we use it. No leaks. Ice maker is working fine. Have replaced the water filter with the Samsung unit each time the indicator is on. Just a couple of weeks ago most recently. Any thoughts?

1 Answer Tim To remove the filter head on this unit you will need to pull the unit out from the wall and disconnect the tubes that run down the back wall from the left side of the unit looking at it from the back. Once these lines are disconnected remove the cover over the top of them. Then you will go around to the refrigerator section and remove the cover over the water filter. Will December 30, 2015 for Model Number RS265TDRS/XAA Water is leaking from the water filter case running down two hoses out a little hole where the hoses come out behind the cover leg I think you call it. Rodney January 28, 2015 for Model Number RS265TDWP/XAA Replaced water filter - new filter not working - no water. Appliance contractor stated bad filter, clogged. Ordered new filter on line - replaced filter - still no water. If I remove the filter, water works fine. I belive the valve is bad on the Water Filter Case. Would like to replace just the Valve.
