Hal June 18, 2024 for Model Number WA50R5400AV/US washing machine kept going off balance and I replaced all four suspension rods and in less than a month it's doing the same thing again. is there any other solution to this problem?
1 Answer Hello Hal, thank you for contacting APP, There may be an issue with the Spin Basket Assembly DC90-27205B. The Spin Basket itself may be out-of-round, this can be tested by removing the Spin Basket and setting it on its side on solid, level flooring and rolling it to see if there is a wobble. If it does wobble the Spin Basket Assembly will need to be replaced, along with another Suspension Damper Assembly DC97-16350U. The Balance Ring is another potential cause for this issue, which is included with the Spin Basket Assembly, this should feel as though it has weights or water rolling around in it. If the Spin Basket and Balance Ring appear to be good then there may be an issue with the Clutch Assembly DC97-18439B. Read More...

Helen May 11, 2023 Is it better to replace all four rods at one time or can I replace them one at a time?
1 Answer Helen, To change the suspension rod you will need to lift the main top of the washer. Once it is raised you will then unhook the rod from the corner and then you will release it from the bottom of the tub. Reinstall in reverse. Read More...
