Hello Ryan, If the model number is actually RF23HCEDTSR you will need to order DA97-05253W. If the model number is actually as originally posted, we have been unable to pull a parts list. You may need to send us a picture of the units' ID tag so we can identify if the unit is an import or there is some other issue. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Andrew, if the tears on the door allow for air to get into the unit constantly, this can cause the evaporator to ice up. However, if you are getting an ice ball where the copper tubing comes out of the wall, you may have a compressor issue. If the compressor does not operate at full efficiency, it can cause the freon to not move through the unit properly causing an ice ball to form at the exit point of the wall. Another cause of an ice ball effect could also be a freon leak. You will want to check around the evaporator and compressor sections for any oil residue to indicate if there is a freon leak and if frost is forming on the copper tubing near the compressor to indicate an inefficient compressor.
