Art S June 21, 2022 for Model Number RS25h5111ww/aa My ice maker stopped working. I can see that water fills the mold ONLY half way. In return it makes tiny ice cubes, that never get released into the ice bin. Can i get some support on probable issue and solution? In doing a little research i think one of the two following items may be the issue: DA97-14253A DA97-13415B What is your recommendation?
1 Answer Art, A faulty icemaker would certainly cause this type of issue of not calling for water long enough but it would be recommended to make sure that you have a good water filter in the unit. A clogged water filter will slow the flow of the water and cause this type of issue. Also, make sure that the water line is not kinked and if it is not then the water valve would be another part that could cause this. As for the icemaker not ejecting the ice, try to push the test button on the side of the icemaker and see if it will cycle and fill properly. If it will then the issue will be with the icemaker.
