Hello Thanh, This is just a spacer that is sometimes needed and sometimes not needed. You should open the door of the unit and grasp the spin basket and see if you have any excess movement from front to rear of the spin basket. If not, you probably will not need to worry about it. If there seems to be free play, you will need to open the unit and install that spacer.

Ken for Model Number WF350ANW/XAA

I am replacing my broken Spider / flange and as I am doing it I thought it best to replace the seal (DC62-00223A)by the bearings. I cannot seem to get the old seal off. I have run a flat screwdriver around the outside of itand tried to pry it off but it doesn't look like it wants to come off easily. Is there a trick to removing the seal? Should it come out easily in one piece or do I just cut / hack it out? Also I notice a small circular spring (like a hairband) seemed to be loose and just sitting there between the seal and bearing. Any idea what that is? I am just going to take it out as it is not doing anything. Thanks for any help

Ken, The spring is part of the seal and will be with the new seal inside of it. As for removing the seal you would just basically pry it off. You can also get it off as you are tapping the old inner bearing out.

Hello Baz, This part requires no lubrication. If you would like, to help protect the seal during installation, you can put on a thin coating of liquid soap.
