Does anyone know of a way to better hold the feet in place? I worry about a glue giving off toxic smell when the grate heats up. Anyone have any thoughts?

This is for a Sunbeam Mixmaster Powerplus. The underside of the stand is where I got the model number just an FYI it is a thick and very heavy piece of metal.
